Transitioning to Secondary School
We are here to support students in their transition to Grade 9 and throughout their high school years.
What to Expect in Grade 9
Students can expect:
- A full timetable that balances required courses with opportunities to explore interests.
- Staff who check in and help students adjust to secondary school routines
- Opportunities to get involved outside the classroom early in the year
- A welcoming start to the school year.
On the first day of school, only Grade 9 students attend. Students will:
- Participate in welcome activities.
- Learn how to find their classrooms.
- Meet teachers and peers.
- Begin building connections in the school.
